What future for the Zennebeemden in the southern fringe of Brussels?
A new landscape development plan for the Zennebeemden has been prepared. In the area between Ruisbroek, Drogenbos and Lot, scattered strips of land and valuable green zones located along the Zenne will be connected again, while the Zenne will be given more space in order to store water.
Are there opportunities to reinforce this ecological landscape development with the cultural dynamics already present? How do we make connections between them so to create a new narrative for the southern edge? As part of PeriFeria 2019, the Provincie Vlaams-Brabant and Regionaal Landschap Pajottenland & Zennevallei are organising a discussion evening.
19h30 – Presentation of the landscape restoration plans by Bert Gellynck (1010 Architecture Urbanism)
20h – Discussion with Kristiaan Borret (bMa Brussels Bouwmeester), Chris De Smedt (Toerisme- en Recreatiemanagement EHB) and Hugo De Greef (Herman Teirlinckhuis, Passa Porta).
Participation is free but please register (until 28 August 2019) by mail via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The discussion evening will take place in Dutch.
